I am Michał Kowalewski, a third-year PhD student at the AGH Doctoral School. I began my doctoral studies in 2023 under the supervision of Piotr Oprocha and expect to complete my thesis in 2027.

I also completed my undergraduate and Master’s degrees in Mathematics at AGH University, graduating with honors in 2023. That same year, my Master’s thesis was awarded the "Diamonds of AGH" distinction for the university's best Master's theses.

My research is focused on topological dynamics, specifically the relationship between the topological structure of a space and the dynamical phenomena that can occur on it.

I am interested in topology and discrete dynamical systems, that is, pairs consisting of a space and a map acting on it. I mainly study topological dynamical systems, where the space is a compact metric space and the map is continuous. In particular, I am interested in how the topological properties of a space constrain or enable the types of dynamics it can admit.
